Arts and culture a Spearfish standard
Spearfish is a summer center for the arts, with several venues for enjoying a wide variety of entertainment. Opera, melodrama, a Passion play, concerts and choirs are available to summer visitors. Here are some of the offerings and events:
- Summer Institute of the Arts is scheduled for June 9-24. Events include a Young Performers Competition, the Johanna Meier Opera Workshop/Festival and Opera Under the Stars. For more information, call 605-642-6241.
